CHARACTER BACKGROUND
physical appearance
Percival once had one of those appearances that people could instantly tell he had experienced a high-class education, in a fine Upper East Side private school. He had slick, short black hair, incredibly tall, light skin, innocent brown eyes and a smile filled with perfectly crafted white teeth, courtesy of New York City's finest dentists. Since leaving high school and his family, he has adopted a more laid-back look. Percival is often seen with stubble around those perfect teeth, and heavy bags under his eyes from too much coffee and the lack of sleep associated with this. His teeth have been tarnished by his smoking habits, and he has been known to go lengths of time without getting a haircut. However, he does not look like someone who has bad hygiene problems, he simply does not uphold the same exaggerated standard of perfection that he was once forced to. One thing that has changed appearance-wise for the better since his childhood is his build. He was once a scrawny lad, but now has adopted an athletes body due to his constant need to run.
clothing style,
Percival's father once spent thousands of dollars on a suit that Perce grew out of just sixth months later. Percival swore from that day forth that he would never spend unneeded amounts of cash on clothes. His usual style is jeans and shirts, most bought from high-street shops.
personality,
reckless, cold, closed-off, profound, secretly romantic, aggressive, driven by the little things in life that money can't buy, and basically everything his father did not want in a son.

BACKGROUND
BACKGROUND
history,
When Percival Isaac and his twin brother Nathaniel Ivan were born, Christopher and Christine Ollendorff were ecstatic; they had acquired not just one but two male heirs. Ollendorff & Sons is a company spanning over three generations of Ollendorffs, and specialise in programming cash registers all over the nation. They're a well-known name in the business world, but not so much outside. The family live a comfortable life in a luxurious, Upper East Side townhouse. Percival and Nathaniel grew up with silver spoons in their mouths and a bitter sibling rivalry. In this constant battle for their father's attention, the eldest twin, Nathaniel, always came out on top. He was daddy's favourite, and Percival always resented him for this. Most twins have an unbreakable bond, but these twins had a deep hatred for one another.
As the two grew up and were sent to private schools, they initially both excelled. Come high school, Percival's grades began to slip, as did his behaviour. He began to skip class, he took up smoking, and sneaking into all-girl schools. All of it was initially to get his father's attention, however, Christopher ignored his behaviour, and only praised Nathaniel more for not being like him. Percival grew up in the shadow of someone who looked exactly the same as him, but got everything he could not get. By the end of high school, Percival had just one thin thread tying him to his family; his friendship with his sister Maybelle. Maybelle accepted him despite his behaviour and the two had the bond he should have had with his twin. Despite this, Percival decided he needed to start off on his own. Percival was meant to attend Columbia University with his twin, but Perce turned his offer down and took off on his motorcycle.
Percival was only eighteen, and had completely cut himself off from his parents by choosing to leave, so the next few years were extremely difficult for him to get through. But despite how hard his life had become, leaving home had been so liberating, that he did not care anymore. He felt free. Percival travelled his country, living off as little money as possible. At first, he got his money from selling things he had taken with him from home. Old Rolex watches, old cell-phones, designer suits, whatever he still had with him. But after a year or so, that money wore off, and he started taking odd jobs off people from various places he passed through. It was lucky that he did not need much money to live happily, he could imagine how terrible it would be for Nathaniel to live on ten dollars a week.
But these years of blissful freedom were about to run out. Despite his attempts to escape his family, his family caught up with him.
On Percival's 20th birthday, he decided to head for London, a city he had always been fond of. He decided he would sell his last valuable item to pay for his flight. Thankfully, he had brought his passport with him when he escaped his family home. While he sat at JFK airport, waiting for his flight, he picked up a newspaper that someone had bought and then carelessly abandoned on a seat near his. And there it was. A large picture of his brother. It looked quite old, from when he was sixteen or seventeen, and Percival had been cut out of the shot. Next to it was an old family portrait that had been taken just after Maybelle's birth. The photo beneath was a picture of the Ollendorff & Sons headquarters. The headline read, 'OLLENDORFF HEIR'S LIFE CUT SHORT ON EVE OF BIRTHDAY'. Nathaniel had been involved in a car accident. He had been with some college friends, on their way to a party in the Hamptons. The driver was intoxicated. Everyone survived, except Nathaniel.
Percival felt surprisingly empty, but other than that he felt nothing. He felt nothing as he put the newspaper back on the seat next to him. He felt nothing as he lined up to board his flight. He felt nothing on the ten hour flight to London Gatwick. He felt nothing in the cab to his two-star hotel. He felt nothing as he went to bed that night. He had heard stories of twins being deeply affected when one twin was killed. Usually the other would die not long after. But Percival woke up that next morning fine, and woke up everyday since still alive.
Percival got himself a job in London working as a barman, as the legal bar age is just eighteen in the UK. He hasn't spoken to his family since he left, he hasn't even called Maybelle. He has tried to completely eradicate his past. In fact, if someone asks him about his past, he says he comes from a middle-class family from Kentucky, he is an only child and came to England for his studies.
