Nina, Romania.
The country wasn't the biggest, nor was it the most well known, but it held the place where she grew up, a place she hadn't visited since she left right out of highschool, feeling she had no one else who could keep her attached to the large lot of land and tiny yet cozy farm house. Romeo had moved out long before she left but had moved back in once he found out June left. He took good care of the place but when they first got there, all the pictures of him and his exwife, all the pictures of June's parents and grandparents had to be taken down. The was probably the first thing June did; obviously not wanting to be reminded.
She never did do good with sadness and pain. After what happened between her and Alex back in England, she just wanted to get as far away from that place as possible. And then when the doctor told her that she was bleeding because she lost the baby, all hell had broken loose...
She had never cried so hard in her life. To be honest, she never cried. She hadn't cried at her grandparents funeral, at her one friend who overdosed, when Henri's wife passed away...Nothing. She would always just sort of go silent-but not cry. She was never the crying type-she loved to look strong and to her, crying was weakness. It was like she cried for everything she didn't cry about before plus the fact that she might have just lost her only chance to actually have a child...
So right now, she sat on the front porch, the long stretch of land in front of her and the sun just beginning to rise. She wore nothing more than one of Zed's button up shirts and her lacey black panties underneath. She knew Jules and Romeo wouldn't be awake since they had been up all night walking around the small town while June and Zed baby sat Geni. Eventually, everyone had gone to sleep and for the remainder of the night, she and Zed got tangeled up in each other under the covers. She had left him sleeping as she silently slipped outside onto the porch, like she usually did in the mornings lately, and sat with her legs pulled up close to her chest. She had been trying so hard to keep the smile on her face lately and the only time she could actually just sort of relax and not keep pretending was right here and right now...
As the horses ran by her eyes wavered. They were down at the end of the property, looking gorgeous and so free. She missed the tiny town and all the people in it. She bit her lower lip before she leaned back and put her hand over her stomach. She didn't know if it was ever going to happen again...But she really wanted it to...More than anything... Just her, Zed, and a baby....

Feeling the arms wrap around her, she could instantly feel her muscles tense as if instinct were kicking in but once she heard the voice, she seemed to relax completely, smiling softly and a bit tiredly as she turned her head slightly to see the man she was going to marry, hopefully, before the end of this year.
"I love you too," she gave him another sweet smile as she locked her lips onto his momentarily, her other hand coming up to the side of his face, her blue hues wavering as a million thoughts ran through her head, "And thank you," she chuckled softly, her voice barely going higher than a whisper, "For making me happy..."
People always thought June had always just been the same sweet and happy, down to earth, friendly woman she was today. All they had to do was ask Romeo and they would realize how different she was from who she used to be. Sure she always had that sweetness to her that had made her so popular in the tiny town. But... June always knew deep down that she wasn't happy. She could pretend and try with all her might to seem like nothing was wrong in her 'perfect' world, but it could eventually wear a person down. June had left for America in hopes that she could maybe find that something that was missing in her life that just made her feel incomplete. The missing puzzle...
And it turned out, Zed was that missing piece.
She gave him another kiss and let her hand go on top of his as she looked back out as the sun was rising, "My mother and my grandmother were married right over there," her eyes wavered as she pointed over to the pasture. It was funny, how she grew up on a farm that had no farm animals on it. In all actuallity, the closest they got to farm animals were the horses, which they fed and rode on occassion. Her father had been the banker in the town, her mother a housewife, her grand mother being a writer and her grandfather being the farmer-who grew sunflowers in the back. A sunflower farm. Strange, but true nonetheless, and explained why June loved Sunflowers so much...
June chuckled as she looked back at him, "Imagine a mini Zed running around," her eyes brighened at the thought, pushing all grim thoughts away since they wouldn't help her in her situation. She was suppose to be thinking about marriage and starting a family...Not ridiculous things that happened in the past... It was the future she would start looking forward to. No regrets, no turning back.
"Calling you daddy and you teaching him how to ride a bike..." she smiled as she seemed to turn around in his arms, pulling herself closer to him since it was still a little bit chilly out. It was weird, how everything she envisioned, she didn't see herself involved. All she saw was Zed and their child. Her grandmother had told her that her mother used to do that too...Right before she passed away.
