June grew up in a very simple town, raised by simple people with very high moral values, and, as it was no surprise, she turned out to always be a simple person. It did not mean she was not intelligent or stupid. Oh no, she was very intelligent; just innocent on so many levels. Growing up with protective guardians, June had become a bit rebellious during her teen years, doing things she would have never dreamed of doing. Like that threesome she admitted to having earlier...It was a one time thing. She never did it again because she felt like a whore for having sex before marriage. That threesome had been where she lost her virginity- in an attempt to have her guardian's loosen the leash around her neck.
So after they passed away and she finished highschool, she had nowhere to go. With the small bit of money she had gained from their wills, she kept the farm she grew up on and loved so dearly but moved to America, hoping she could make a better living there. She ended up in California, since everyone said it was the Golden state or something like and where she would be able to relate to people more. Well, June could relate to anyone. She was a people person and always had been. She managed to start off doing small jobs. She was seventeen and working in a book store. From there she worked at a thrift store, since her English wasn't the best, and then, when she was nineteen, she managed to get a job waitressing, which paid better than the two combined since it was at some big and fancy restaurant in the city.
That was where she met Zed.
It was strange, considering she thought he was sweet, but a little lost at first. It was almost as if he had just wandered in...Hell, he had been on a date with another person at the time. But after that, it seemed like fate took its own course.
And fate was taking its own course right now in the form of a disappointing doctor's appointment. She had woken up early and taken a cab since she was a horrible driver to begin with and spent the majority of her early morning going through a million tests...and a million emotions. But what she feared ended up being thrown in her face.
She couldn't have kids...Well, she could...If she wanted to end up like her mother. Apparently, there was a slim chance she would even be able to make it through the delivery or even be able to carry the baby because of the way her uterus was shaped-instead of a U or a V, she had a T. That was the simplest way to explain it.
So now she was at the park, playing with the bottom of her skirt and trying not to let it get to her. June was an expert at hiding things, but she was a horrible liar. Running her fingers through her loose auburn-dyed locks she smiled at Zed, "Hi honey ," the happiness was written all over her voice-because she was happy, and hadn't been happier with anyone else in her life than Zed...
But she didn't know if she could tell him when she could barely admit it to herself.
